AIMBE Industry Council is pleased to announce the launch of the Biomedical Engineering Multidisciplinary Alliance (BEMA) Roundtable, an initiative convening experts from industry (materials suppliers, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals), academia, and government to address challenges across the biomedical innovation ecosystem.
Originally convened by the National Academies and sunset in 2024, BEMA has been renewed and expanded by AIMBE to promote cross-sector collaboration on regulatory science, biomanufacturing, research and development, and technology translation. Since November 2025, AIMBE has organized in-person BEMA Roundtables in Washington, D.C. These invite-only, closed-door forums bring together approximately 50 participants to discuss technical insights, identify pain points, and develop actionable strategies for shared challenges.
Past meetings:
- May 18, 2026: Regulatory, Technical, and Scientific Frontiers in Combination Products, Washington, D.C.
- November 3, 2025: Building Supply Chain Resilience in the Medical Device Industry, Washington, D.C.
